Pot Luck Lunch

Parish Life will provide Fried Chicken (from Jimmies BBQ), Tea, and Water and boxed drinks for the children

Congregation is asked to bring the following depending on your last name.
Please make enough for
your family plus 6-8 people or more!

A-G   Pasta or Potato Salad
H-J   Green Salad or Cole Slaw
K-N   Vegetable or Fruit
O-Z    Dessert
Bring chairs and/or blankets

Wildcat Mountain is an 800+ acre property co-owned by R.B. Smith along with several other families from the community. The property has approximately 10 miles of gravel road to hike as well as trails through the woods. The service and lunch will be held near a house that has two bathrooms. There is a porch with rocking chairs, a horseshoe pit, and for those who like to fish - a large lake and several smaller ponds. Plan to spend an enjoyable afternoon after the service and lunch.

Directions to Wild Cat Mountain
Take Hwy 8 south, turn left onto Hwy 47 (American Children’s Home on right)
Stay on Hwy 47, be on lookout for two places that the Hwy takes a turn to the left; bear to your left both times to stay on Hwy 47 (at the second turn Bethany United Methodist Church will be to the right). Landmarks you will see after passing Bethany church:
            Hedrick Brothers Lumber Co. (Wildcat Mtn appox 3 miles after lumber co)
            Summerville Church Road on the right
            Frank Road on the left

After passing Frank Road, there will be a hill and a curve; look for the entrance on the right – it will be marked with a sign; it is a gravel road with stone walls on either side of gate
Keep on the gravel road till you see a sign that says Stewardship Forest; find a place to park on the lawn area near the house
